Permanent 40 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday) Core hours 8am – 5pm
£28,260 Per Annum
Travel required – Manchester, Crewe, Liverpool and Leeds – travel time is included in the weekly hours. To facilitate the job Thrive will provide a vehicle, work phone and uniform.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the upkeep of Thrive’s estate. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for completing installation, maintenance, and repair work across our buildings and large complexes, ensuring our environments remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and contractors, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance services across all settings. You’ll also support the Maintenance Manager and Estates Director in the safe, timely, and budget-conscious delivery of estate improvement projects - always in line with our Health & Safety plan.

The specifics include but are not limited to the following.
Joinery, fixing doors, locks, windows, latches, flat pack assembly, shelving, cupboards and small kitchen refits
Basic plumbing and repairs, tightening nuts/bolts/washers
Touch up paint work
Ironmongery
Minor electrics – replacing light bulbs
Garden maintenance
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in maintenance, ideally with a background in a relevant trade.
A full, clean UK driving licence (you must be 25 or over for insurance purposes). A company vehicle will be provided.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own diary, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results efficiently.
Awareness of health and safety regulations, including Asbestos and Legionella protocols.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a professional, approachable manner at all times.
