“I enjoy working for Thrive Childcare at Cove Bay as I feel we are a family working together to create a great environment/learning opportunities for the children.”
“My favourite thing about working here is how fun it is! Every day is different but it is always exciting.”
“Thrive have always provided great training opportunities and ensure we are always up to date with what’s going on and have been helpful with everything since I started. Danielle (our Nursery Manager) has been supportive around the nursery and helps keep us motivated.”
“I am new to the company and love that the staff have been really welcoming and the management team are really supportive to their staff.”
“I love my role as Nursery Manager within Thrive, I have worked in the company for 10 years and worked my way up from MA to Manager, throughout my time at Thrive I have been given so many amazing opportunities and been able to grow in my career throughout my time working here. I love coming to work and having such a keen and supportive team of people behind me.”
“Since I have started working here everyone has been so welcoming, it is really a lovely environment to come into and feels like a home from home.”
“I love coming in and interacting with the wide variety of children, its such an inclusive nursery environment the different things you learn about them and wee stories you hear are amazing. I love the freedom to take them out walks and participate in local community events, which is all supported by Thrive.”
“I was very impressed with the information given during the whole Covid pandemic, the company kept us up to date and really thought about the staffs stress levels and anxiety throughout – they done everything right and it was very much appreciated. It made coming back after lockdown a lot easier.”
The team were very welcoming and friendly. As I had been out of childcare for a long period of time I embraced all the Continuous Professional Development and training courses offered to me , learning the EYFS and safe guarding as well as many other courses. The management team were excellent and I had my own mentor helping me with any questions
In that time, I have found that Thrive offers more to their colleagues than any other nursery I have worked at previously. The discounted shopping, the recent cash health plan and the continuous access to training for my own continuous development and to continually develop the practice within the nursery.
“It’s a good environment to work in, supportive and staff are friendly and amazing to work with. Everyone has been really helpful with me doing my training, I feel like I learn everyday.”
I began my career in Early Years back in 1997 with Thrive Childcare (formally known The Village Nursery Group). Since embarking on my Early Years journey I have continued to grow and develop both personally and professionally. I absolutely believe this is due to the wonderful team I have around me that have nurtured and mentored me each and every day.
My name is Sarah, Nursery Manager at Holyrood Swinton. I’ve been at Swinton since 2006, starting here as a student and taking on a supply role once qualified. I was offered a full time role and gradually progressed to a senior role and then to Deputy Manager. I’ve been the manager here for 2 and a half years now and have a fantastic team supporting me each day. Over the years, I’ve seen many of our team progress through the business and take on other roles within Thrive, at other settings, or within the central team.
Since joining Thrive, I have had plenty of opportunities to develop my own personal and professional development through an organisation that cares about their colleagues and their professional journey. My role is to support all Managers throughout Scotland and England with their recruitment needs and supporting and growing talent within the business. One thing that I love about this role is that I am able to network with all teams throughout Thrive, in a rewarding and fulfilling role, with a supportive team around me.
